Sweet Home Season 3 is one of the much-awaited Kdramas on Netflix. Just days ago, the streaming giant revealed good and bad news about the show. The good news is that Sweet Home Season 3 is coming out on July 19, 2024. Unfortunately, this also means it’s the final season.

With the announcement, we can’t help but wonder if Lee Do-Hyun will be coming back to the show. After all, he was one of the characters that fans dearly missed in Sweet Home Season 2.

And with that *exciting* teaser at the end of the previous season, we want to know if we can expect Lee Do-Hyun in Sweet Home Season 3 to reprise his role. Let’s talk about what we know so far.

When is Lee Do-Hyun Leaving the Military?

Before his enlistment, Lee Do-Hyun made waves in the Kdrama scene. While he portrayed a quiet character in the first season of Sweet Home, the actor’s succeeding shows proved his acting chops.

In 2023, Do-Hyun showcased his talent in shows like The Glory, The Good Bad Mother, and Death’s Game. He also starred in his first movie, Exhuma, which led him to receive the Best New Actor award at the 60th BaekSang Arts Awards.

These were just the shows that came out in the past couple of years. But before that, Do-Hyun had already caught the eyes of his fans in Melancholia, Youth of May, 18 Again, Hotel del Luna, and many more.

Despite his military enlistment in August 2023, Do-Hyun’s shows continued to top streaming platforms in and outside of South Korea. We’ll continue to expect more from him once he finishes his military service in 2025.

What Happened to Lee Eun-Hyeok in Sweet Home Season 3? Recap Guide

The first season of Sweet Home left avid fans dumbfounded about what happened to Do-Hyun’s character, Lee Eun-Hyeok. He stayed behind to save his sister and their neighbors from their apartment’s collapse.

But just before the scene changed, the show teased that Do-Hyun had been infected with the virus since he was experiencing a nosebleed. The scene left fans grasping for straws as they couldn’t figure out whether he would return in Sweet Home Season 2.

And even though he wasn’t present in Sweet Home Season 2, he was able to delight his fans with the surprise post-credit scene; teasing that his character is still alive and will return.
